Invocations
Sarah has provided several secular invocations before local governing bodies and community events. While believing invocations to be unnecessary altogether, if secular voices are not included, then all invocations would be specifically Christian and not representative of the diversity of constituencies.
Humanist Celebrant
Sarah is an endorsed Humanist celebrant with The Humanist Society. Humanist celebrants conduct humanist, nonreligious, and interreligious weddings, commitment/same-sex unions, memorials, baby namings, and other life cycle ceremonies.
The Humanist Society
Sarah joined the Humanist Society Board of Directors in September 2020.
Sarah is the Producer/Host of “Humanist Trek”, a Star Trek podcast about the humanism in Star Trek. Each week Sarah & Co-Host Allie Ashmead (GO Humanity) review an episode of Star Trek and discuss the humanist themes and big questions.
SarahTalk
SarahTalk is a podcast started in 2015 to document Sarah’s gender transition journey. Over time the show became more politically charged as religious opposition to GSRM rights increased.

Freethought in Florida
Sarah is the Producer/Host of “Freethought in Florida”, a talk show produced as a product of the Atheist Community of Polk County. Available on YouTube, Facebook Live, and most Podcast Players, FIF features various voices from across the state with guest interviews and discussions around current events, news, and legislation. Freethought in Florida ended it’s run in October 2021.
Atheist Community
of Polk County
In 2019, Sarah co-founded the Atheist Community of Polk County – a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide a positive community for nontheists in Polk County, FL. She stepped down from the Board of Directors at the end of 2021 to move to Colorado. The ACPC rebranded as Humanists of Polk County and remain engaged in community service projects making a real difference in our communities – no gods required.
